We got to be part of a project where we helped the client turn a creative idea into reality. The idea was to combine the strength of reel-based social media platforms and ecommerce sites by merging them into one new generation virtual shopping mall where sellers promote their products through reels uploaded by users. Thus, providing entertainment as well as a pleasant shopping experience at one place.

Key Features

Reel Monetization

Reel Makers have to create and upload reels around products of their interest that sellers have showcased on the app. Content creators can showcase single or multiple products in a single video. Reel Makers then get commission in the form of in-app currency for every product sale that happens through their content.

In App Orders & Payment

Users viewing any reel video can click on the featured product icons showcased in the video and add the products to their cart. Subsequently, the app allows users to checkout their cart and make order payments directly from the app itself through multiple payment methods.

Online Store management

The platform includes an in-app virtual store with multiple sellers which is simple to manage. Sellers can add new products, its details and summary with just a few clicks. Moreover, sellers can also manage their inventory status online by displaying if the product is available or out of stock at the moment.

Catalog & Categories

New app users are required to select product based categories for example bags, phones etc. of their interest. Users will be shown content and get suggestions based on selected categories & interests. Furthermore, products of different sellers are listed under catalogs which users can browse and make purchases. Products are grouped with similar products and each product listing also includes sub-variations & sub-models.

Multiple User Modules

The solution includes 3 modules for the different types of users i.e. Admin Panel Web App, Seller Web App and Mobile App for the end-user. The admin panel can add, remove or edit existing video and product categories, and also approve new product listings.

Social Media Profile

Users can create a social media profile just like other platforms. Through this profile users can follow other users, like their content and direct message the. The user can choose to keep their profile open for all or closed in which only their followers can view their profile and profile content.
